USB Memory Stick Updates

 Updating Campaigns using a USB Memory Stick

 Unless otherwise specified at time of purchase each BlueCastBox ships with the usb update feature disabled. If you wish to use this feature you must submit a support ticket with the request and we will reconfigure your BlueCastBox to stop using the network update feature and start using the usb memory stick update feature.

Steps for USB Memory Stick Updates
  1. Submit Support ticket to have your BlueCastBox re-configured to accept USB Memory Stick updates
  2. The usb memory stick must have a folder in its root directory named with the BlueCastBox ID number, this number is a 10 digit number found on the warrantee tag of each BlueCastBox, with file explorer it would look like d:/Oyj521h7ham (replace Oyj521h7ham with your BlueCastBox number)
  3. Using the Web based control panel OR your Campaign Manager software to create a campaign (see create campaign instructions) and save the campaign
  4. Using the web based control panel Click the download button in the campaign window for the corresponding campaign you wish to use for the usb memory stick update . This will download a "zip" file to your hard drive with a long encrypted name .
  5. Unzip the file and save the contents to the 5 digit folder on your memory stick, the zip file will contain a campaign file and all the files that the campaign is expected to broadcast.
  6. While your BlueCastBox is running, insert the USB memory stick into one of the USB slots on the front of your BlueCastBox and wait 10 minutes .
  7. Remove the USB memory stick after 10 minutes
  8. Your memory stick now has some additional record files in the 10 digit folder, these record files can be imported into excel for charting your campaign progress, success and failure rates etc.
